Established in 1979

The English Provender Co. was established in 1979 in the kitchen of husband and wife team, John and Ann Curwin. Passionate and creative cooks, they started out making indulgent jams and marmalades for seasonal gifts and luxury hampers, in some rather lovely square jars.

Since then, the company was brought by the family owned Edward Billington Sons in 1977 and moved to their now home in Newbury, Berkshire where they’ve grown rather bigger and make quite a few more chutney and curs!

Today, their products are still made with the same passion and Ann & John, using the same traditional cooking methods and finest all-natural ingredients, too taste just as good as home-made.
